Doha: Students from Qatar Academy for Science and Technology (QAST) put their underwater robots to the test during the 2021 Qatar SeaPerch Challenge to conclude the Engineering Heroes: Ocean Scout academic enrichment program delivered by Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ).
The students learned about the science and technologies behind ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) over six weeks as part of the innovative Engineering Heroes STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) outreach program. Engineering Heroes: Ocean Scout focused on the science and technology of underwater vehicles, which are used in several industries and real-life applications such as search and rescue, inspecting underwater pipelines or exploring shipwrecks. ....

Doha: Qatar Foundation has launched a programme designed to identify and support the needs of bright, young students in Qatar.
The initiative titled Qatar Foundation Gifted Enrichment Programs will be supported by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth.
As part of a cooperation agreement between the two entities, Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) will offer a customised version of its Live Interactive Virtual Explorations (L.I.V.E.) programme for the Qatar Foundation (QF) initiative.
The Qatar Foundation Gifted Enrichment Programs will offer engaging online enrichment courses, developed and delivered by CTY expert instructors, to identify gifted learners. It is set to run from February 6 to April 10. ....
