Texas Panhandle Catholic Charities blesses, dedicates new Amarillo home


As members of the community gathered in the new location of Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle, the group prayed “May the Lord bless these works,” aiming for the new space to be a beacon of hope for northeast Amarillo, seeing Christ in others and others seeing the love of Christ from the organization. 
During a Saturday morning gathering, the Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle organization celebrated its new home, located at 1900 and 2004 N. Spring St. in northeast Amarillo. This comes after the organization moved from its old home off of Duniven Circle. 
During the ceremony, representatives from the organization, as well as the Catholic Diocese of Amarillo, blessed the locations, sprinkling water throughout both buildings and praying over the potential impact this new location will bring to the city of Amarillo as a whole. ....

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - While many Amarilloans continue battling the coronavirus pandemic, local church leaders feel worship might help in the fight.
