STANDISH, Maine According to a release from the Cumberland County Sheriff s Department, a 35-year-old Sebago man is dead after a Standish motorcycle crash Monday afternoon.
35-year-old Kyle Kipikas died after it appears the motorcycle he was driving went off the road and struck a rock and trees, according to Captain Kerry Joyce. Joyce said Kipikas was thrown from the bike and died at the crash scene. 
Joyce said passers-by found the crash site near Boundry Road at Richville Road in Standish around 6:30 p.m. Monday. Joyce said Kipokas likely crashed early Monday morning.  ....

The recent discovery of skeletal remains inside a shed in Casco, Maine, could be the break that solves the mystery of a woman’s disappearance.
The remains were found on the property of Douglas Scott Sr., who died from COVID-19 in March and whose daughter has been reported as missing.
Maine State Police said the remains were discovered on May 8 by one of Scott’s children who was cleaning out his residence at 196 Poland Springs Road in Casco, a town of 3,742 that’s home to Sebago Lake State Park. The remains were found inside a shed on Scott’s property, according to Shannon Moss, a spokeswoman for the Maine State Police. ....

Family members made a shocking discovery while cleaning out the Casco, Maine home of their deceased father.
Maine State Police said they received a call from one of family members at around 3:26 p.m. on Saturday (May 8) claiming they found human remains in an outbuilding on the property, according to a department news release.
Officials have not confirmed how long they thought the remains were at the home or whether they belonged to the deceased father,
Douglas Scott, 82, who died earlier this year.
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner begun a post-mortem examination on the remains on Sunday morning, May 9th, 2021, the news release stated.  Additional testing and examination is likely to take place throughout the coming weeks. ....

Human Remains Discovered During Clearing Out of Deceased Father's Maine Home

Authorities did not disclose how long the remains could have been there but did confirm that the home belonged to 82-year-old Douglas Scott, who passed away earlier this year,  ABC News reported.
A family cleaning out their recently deceased father’s home made a horrifying discovery: human skeletal remains.
The remains were found in an outbuilding on the property at 196 Poland Springs Road, located in Casco, Maine, approximately 30 miles north of Portland, according to a release from the Department of Public Safety (DPS), State of Maine. 
On Saturday, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call from one of the family members regarding the discovery, the release said. ....
