Rhinos Queens To Represent Zim In COSAFA Women Champions League

ZIMBABWE Women’s Soccer League champions, Black Rhinos Queens will represent Zimbabwe at the inaugural Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Women’s Champions League (CWCL), a build-up to the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League to be hosted by Morocco later this year.
According to a letter by COSAFA Secretary General Sue Destombes seen by NewZimbabwe.com, Black Rhinos Queens, who are home to several national team players including top striker Rutendo Makore, will come up against seven other teams in an eight-team regional tournament.
“Following previous correspondence on the above subject and the deadline set to confirm participation, we are pleased to advice that there will be eight participating teams in the inaugural COSAFA Women’s Champions League (CWCL) namely: Prisons XI (Botswana), Manzini Wanderers (Swaziland), Lesotho Defense Force (Lesotho), Costa Do Sol(Mozambique), Tyra Magic (Namibia), and Mamelodi Sundowns ....

Mighty Warriors Star Emmaculate Msipa Joins Spanish Club

MIGHTY Warriors and Black Rhinos Queens striker Emmaculate Msipa is expected to become the second female Zimbabwean player to be signed by a European club when she joins Spanish second division side CF Joventut Almassora.
Msipa is expected to leave the country on Tuesday for Spain where she is due to sign a one-year contract with Segunda Division Feminina football side.
She follows in the footsteps of her teammate Rutendo Makore who played for Spanish topflight side Sporting Club de Huelva during the 2017-2018 season.
The 28-year-old Msipa’s move to Spain comes after an impressive season with champions Black Rhinos Queens in 2019 before the disruption of the 2020 campaign due to the Covid-19 pandemic. ....
