GOLD PRICES held $10 per ounce higher for the week so far in London on Wednesday, but remained almost $20 below yesterday s test of 3-month highs after US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen spooked financial markets by saying interest rates may have to rise.

Whenever there is an economic or financial crisis in South Africa the first thing lazy analysts do is scapegoat workers for having caused it. Workers, who had little to do with creating the catastrophe, are then expected to be the only ones to take the pain. This is not fair.
