ALTAMONT Patricia J. Tregaskis of Altamont was a “helper to all who needed a nurse’s wisdom and care,” her family wrote in a tribute. She died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021. She was 87.
She was born in Brantford, Ontario, on March 10, 1933. She graduated from Brantford Collegiate Institute and Brantford General Hospital School of Nursing, and received her Bachelor of Science degree at Nyack College, in Nyack, New York, in 1959.
She was employed at the Nyack Hospital and retired as shift supervisor from the Teresian House Nursing Home in Albany after 20 years of service. She also served as camp nurse at various summer camps as well as the Altamont Fair nurse for several years. ....
