ATLANTA - A Carrollton Police Department officer shot during a violent police chase on April 12 was transferred from Grady Memorial Hospital to Shepherd Center in Atlanta for brain injury rehabilitation, officials said Tuesday.
Sgt. Rob Holloway, 39, sustained a brain injury when a bullet struck him in the back of the head, among other injuries, during a high-speed police chase in Carroll County.
A spokesperson for the Shepherd Center said he was admitted to the intensive care unit on Monday for evaluation, care and observation before beginning therapy. ....

A Police SUV in Texas is temporarily out of service as it is being used as a home.
The Carrollton Police Department took the SUV off the road after discovering a dove made a nest on the hood late last month. Police said they were surprised to find the dove also laid a pair of eggs in the nest.
The department told KTVT-TV they’ve since hatched, but they aren t going to move the SUV until the babies leave the nest. The nest is in the windshield wiper area.

April 22 (UPI) A Texas police SUV is temporary out of service after a dove chose it as the location for her nest and hatched a pair of eggs.
The Carrollton Police Department said the SUV was taken off the road March 30 when an officer discovered a mother dove had built a nest and laid a pair of eggs.

The department said the eggs now have hatched, but the SUV will be kept parked until the babies leave the nest.
We aren t really sure exactly when they were born because momma keeps hiding them under her wings, Carrollton Police spokesperson Jolene DeVito told KTVT-TV. ....
