Nelson photographer Virginia Woolf makes some final tweaks to her exhibition MUSE stories and photographs of Nelson s multicultural woman at the Refinery Artspace in Hardy St, Nelson until the 20th of March.
Woolf said she chose Muse based on its original definition of the nine goddesses who inspire and preside over the arts and sciences from Greek and Roman mythology.
“I chose to only have female subjects as I felt more of a connection and saw a reflection on my own struggles and experiences growing up as a NZ-born Chinese and third generation Kiwi of Chinese descent.” ....
