Ireland under-21 boss Jim Crawford has expressed his delight that he ll finally get to work with Spanish-based Ryan Johansson and John Joe Patrick Finn during the upcoming three-game window.
And Crawford, who has seen Andrew Omobamidele and Danny Mandroiu promoted this week from his squad to Stephen Kenny s senior panel, believes they can thrive in that environment.
The under-21s will play Switzerland, Australia and Denmark in a tournament in Spain and included among the seven new players called up are Sevilla s Johansson and Finn, who plays for Getafe.
CHERRIES’ promotion dream went up in smoke as Brentford staged a dramatic comeback to book their spot in the Championship play-off final. Leading 1-0 from the first leg, Cherries doubled their advantage through Arnaut Danjuma in west London, only for Ivan Toney to pull one back from the penalty spot. Disaster then struck for Cherries when Chris Mepham was sent off for hauling down Bryan Mbeumo inside the first 30 minutes. Penned back, Cherries were unable to keep the Bees out with second-half goals from Vitaly Janelt and Marcus Forss sealing a 3-1 win on the day and putting Thomas Frank’s side through to Wembley 3-2 on aggregate.

Shane Long and

Neither of the two players are expected to start. Travers has been backup goalkeeper this season, while 34-year-old Southampton loanee Long’s recent appearances have come from the substitutes’ bench.
Ireland U21 international
Cork-born midfielder
Conor Hourihane has excelled since joining Swansea on loan from Aston Villa, scoring five times after moving there in January, and will almost certainly feature against former club Barnsley on Monday
