TeleMiracle raises over $5.6 million for Kinsmen Foundation

 The broadcast featured no live audience this year with most live appearances by remote video. National cast hosts were live in-studio, with physical distancing in-place.
One of the many highlights of this year’s show were the 75 talented Saskatchewan performers who appeared on throughout the telethon and on the Countdown to TeleMiracle pre-show, streamed live on at  telemiracle.com. Not only did these acts showcase the breadth of talent from every corner of the province, they also raised money for the telethon – which was once again matched by Nutrien, who presented their donation of $100,000 live by remote video just before the end of the broadcast. ....

Weyburn performers excited to be on TeleMiracle 45 broadcast

Maraya has been out collecting funds with her grandma to raise money for this year s TeleMiracle. As of Sunday she has collected $1,570, and on air, she challenged Weyburn businesses to meet or beat this donation.
TeleMiracle means a lot to Maraya, as her aunt Danette (predeceased) passed away from spina bifida on Jan. 7, 1989. Danette used funds from TeleMiracle in her day for new wheelchairs or money for transportation to get to appointments.
Maraya went up to Regina last month to prerecord her son as they are not doing a live show due to COVID. Maraya will also be doing a zoom call to present her cheque just before she performs on Sunday. ....

Weyburn talent to be featured at 45th annual TeleMiracle fundraiser

This is a return appearance for a number of these performers, including Alexander who is dancing for the third time, her second appearance as a soloist. She previously appeared in 2017 and 2019.
She held a fundraiser selling her art online, and as of Monday she had raised about $2,000, which will be matched by Nutrien to make it a $4,000 donation.
As with most other performers, she taped a video of her dance performance and it is set to be shown around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28.
“I’m pretty excited to see what the end result of our recording session looks like. It was quite different this year, but it will be cool to see how they mix in all the performances together in the end,” said Alexander. ....

Alex Shelley Pulled From Hard to Kill Main Event, Moose Announced As Replacement

Impact Wrestling has announced that Alex Shelley will be unable to travel to Nashville and as a result, has been pulled from Hard to Kill tomorrow night. Moose has been announced as his replacement, and will team with Chris Sabin and Rich Swann against Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers. The announcement reads:

RTÉ apologises over offence caused by 'blasphemous' sketch

RTÉ has apologised for offence caused by a mock news report which made allegations that God committed rape.
Catholic Archbishop Eamon Martin hit out at the New Year s Countdown Show clip, calling it deeply offensive .
The broadcaster apologised to anyone who was offended by the sketch, and says formal complaints will be accepted and responded to within the relevant process.
It said in a statement that around 600 complaints have been received so far.
The comedy clip from Waterford Whispers contains a person dressed as a Garda escorting a handcuffed bearded man dressed in white robes out of the Court House in Waterford. ....
