Gardiner High School Teacher Awarded Teacher Of The Year
DeSoto has been teaching for 20 years and currently teaches multiple advanced placement courses. She is also a coordinator for the K-12th grade REACH program. She also is the director of the Gardiner Regional Middle School drama program and even runs a school food pantry .
Many of her students refer to her as Momma D a name she wears with pride as she loves cook for her students and brings yummy items to class.
DeSoto has embraced many of the challenges that being a teacher brings but has developed a deep love for the profession. ....
