Alachua County Looks At Solutions To Control Overpopulation Of Stray Animals

Alachua County commissioners met Tuesday to discuss the issue of stray animals in the area. Director of Alachua County Animal Services Ed Williams explains the process of managing this control.
He says the county is doing everything they can but there is not enough space to provide the proper amount of spay and neuter services. Alachua County Commissioner Mary Alford says she would be interested in knowing what it would take to achieve 30 to 50 spay or neuter operations each month while Michele Lieberman says the county is exploring additional ways to reduce the number of animals on the streets. ....
