WEYMOUTH & Portland Lions Club has donated thousands of pounds to food banks to help feed families struggling over the festive period.
The club has given £500 to Weymouth, Portland, Chickerell and Lane house food banks, as well as another £500 donation to The Veterans Hub.
Lions President Ryan Hope, Kevin the Lion and the Mayor of Weymouth Town were out and about spreading much needed festive cheer in the run-up to Christmas by handing out the donations to help those in the community that need it.
Weymouth Town Mayor, Councillor Graham Winter, used funds from his own Mayor’s Christmas fund to add to the Lions donation to Weymouth food bank and the Veterans Hub. ....
