Schools across the Highlands welcomed back pupils to the classroom as face-to-face learning resumed.
The Scottish Government confirmed that the majority of pupils would return full-time to in-school learning after the Easter break, except for those that are shielding.
Highland pupils who are on the shielding list are advised to stay at home until April 26.
While the two-metre physical distancing between pupils in secondary schools was removed, face coverings and other safety measures remain in place. ....

The First Minister announced yesterday (March 2) to the Scottish Parliament that all remaining primary school children are to return to school full-time from March 15, with all secondary pupils returning in some form from March 15 until April 2.
Welcoming the announcement, chair of the Education Committee, Councillor John Finlayson said: “I am delighted that we can see the return of more of our pupils to school settings in the next couple of weeks. ....

The chairman of Highland Council s Education Committee has welcomed the latest announcement from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
The First Minister announced yesterday to the Scottish Parliament that all remaining primary school children are to return to school full-time, from March 15, with all secondary pupils returning in some form from March 15 until April 2.
Welcoming the announcement, Councillor John Finlayson said: “I am delighted that we can see the return of more of our pupils to school settings in the next couple of weeks. ....
