A PARK and ride scheme could be trialled as soon as next year. The experimental project for Brighton and Hove could be held in Mill Road, utilising a site that is already used on Brighton and Hove Albion match days. The trial there would be a partnership between Brighton and Hove City Council and Brighton and Hove Buses. The buses would travel non-stop to the centre of Brighton, with stops at St Peter’s Church, North Road and Old Steine before returning to Mill Road. (WVIR) - At a budget development workshop, the Charlottesville City Council spent its Wednesday afternoon discussing plans for future projects. During the meeting, the council went over draft plans for the next five years of its Capital Improvement Program (CIP). It includes large increases in three major categories: education, affordable housing, and transportation. “We feel like this plan is reflective of the priorities that we’ve heard from you and it does align your dollars with the areas that are important,” said Krisy Hammill, a senior budget and management analyst. ....
