47abc December 17, 2020 SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury’s furry friends now have a brand new place to play. Community leaders attended a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday for the new Downtown Bark Park. The project was funded in part by community donations, plus funding from SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate and Avery Hall Insurance Group. The dog park is located next to Brew River, on the corner of West Main and Lake Streets. Acting Julia Mayor Glanz says revitalizing this once forgotten part of downtown isn’t just about giving dogs a place to play. “You walked by this park before and you blew right past it. It felt much smaller, didn’t really have anything. You walked through it to get somewhere else. It wasn’t a destination on its own. So we’re so excited to have given it new meaning, and a new life,” said Acting Mayor Glanz. ....
