In honor of National Correctional Officers Week, Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) today met with correctional officers and staff at USP Lewisburg to present a certificate of recognition and thank them for their continued service to the community.
Coinciding with Congressman Keller’s visit was a job fair at the penitentiary, hosted by the federal Bureau of Prisons. USP Lewisburg is currently seeking qualified applicants to serve as correctional officers and fill other positions. Keller was joined at the event by Shane Fausey, President of the National
Council of Prison Locals 33 and Andy Kline, President of USP Lewisburg’s Local 148 union. ....

In fact, the newsletter listed all the things in the bill that will help us here in Wyoming County: the reauthorization of the Paycheck Protection Program so workers of our small businesses can get paid; an extension of unemployment insurance; money for schools to reopen for in-person learning; grants and loans for small business; funding for local theaters like the Dietrich so they can stay in business; loans for hotels; funds for the purchase and distribution of vaccines; funds for rural hospitals like Tyler; and broadband in rural areas which is critical here in Wyoming County for schools and businesses. ....

Washington, D.C. -Today, President Trump signed into law H.R. 4279, Congressman Keller s bill to designate the Post Office in Laceyville, Pennsylvania, as the Melinda Gene Piccotti Office in honor of the late Mindy Piccotti, an Air Force veteran who founded Hunts for Healing.
Started in 2009, Hunts for Healing aims to help wounded soldiers returning from military missions in Iraq and Afghanistan and other combat veterans transition back into civilian life by allowing them to experience the joys of hunting, including social interaction and camaraderie.
