Ghaziabad's District Magistrate, wife test positive for coronavirus

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus, and are in home-isolation, an official said on Sunday.
Gaurav Singh, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Pandey, said the district magistrate had been experiencing symptoms of the disease since Saturday. Singh said the samples of the district magistrate and his wife Seema Pandey were tested on Saturday, and they returned positive.
They have quarantined themselves at their home, he said.
Ghaziabad Development Authority s vice-chairperson Krishna Karunesh would work as officiating district magistrate till Pandey returns, he said.

Ghaziabad: In light of the recent increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, the Ghaziabad district administration on Thursday (April 8) imposed a night curfew in the entire district.
The night curfew will start at 10 pm and will end at 5 am starting tonight. Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey said that the authorities, after reviewing the situation with the police and medical department, decided to impose a night curfew in the district.
District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey said To effectively contain the spread of COVID-19 in Ghaziabad, we have decided to impose night curfew in the district. The timing of the curfew will be 10 pm to 5 am. ....

Keeping in view the the rising number of COVID-19 cases, Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey has decided to implement a night curfew in the district from Thursday (April 8) to April 17, 2021.
The night curfew will be in place from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am. The DM arrived on this decision after reviewing it with police officers and officials of the medical department.
Night curfew has been imposed in various other districts of Uttar Pradesh as well. There will be a night curfew will be in Varanasi from Thursday (April 8), from 9 pm to morning. The morning time is yet to be announced. ....

The Noida administration imposed a night prohibition/regulation order in the district from 10 pm to 5 am till April 17, 2021. However, all movement of essential goods/commodities and essential/medical services shall be exempted.
The order, undersigned by District Collector and Magistrate Suhas LY. All government, private educational institutes except medical paramedical and nursing including coaching institutes shall be barred from holding physical classes till April 17. However, all exams including practicals shall be held as per the schedule and are exempted from the curfew order. ....

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 5 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday received his first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine at Civil Hospital in Lucknow and urged people to take all precautions amind growing cases of coronavirus.
I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Ministry for making the vaccine available free of cost. I also thank the scientists of the country. The vaccine is completely safe. We all should take it when our turn comes, Adityanath said after taking the first dose. ....
