COVID-19: Ambulance rates capped in Noida
The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration on Saturday fixed an cap on rates charged by ambulances during the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said. “People can lodge a complaint on helpline number 18004192211 or 112 if they are overcharged by the ambulance service provider,” District Magistrate Suhas LY said in official order.
According to the order, any ambulance without oxygen support will charge not more than Rs 1,000 for a maximum 10 km and Rs 100 for every km thereafter.
Ambulances with oxygen support can charge a maximum of Rs 1,500 for 10 km and thereafter, Rs 100 per km, it stated.
Those with ventilator or Bi-pap support can charge Rs 2,500 for 10 km and thereafter, Rs 200 per km, it added. ....

Noida to increase random testing of people commuting to and from Delhi


Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh, the Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration has decided to increase the number of random coronavirus tests for people commuting to and from Delhi.
Number of COVID tests will be increased in areas bordering Delhi. For people commuting to and from the national capital, the random tests for the virus will be conducted, District Magistrate Suhas LY said while speaking to reporters on Thursday.
The tests will be conducted at the Delhi-Noida border area.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government yesterday extended existing night curfew timings in its several cities including the capital Lucknow and Gautam Budh Nagar. ....

The Noida administration imposed a night prohibition/regulation order in the district from 10 pm to 5 am till April 17, 2021. However, all movement of essential goods/commodities and essential/medical services shall be exempted. 
The order, undersigned by District Collector and Magistrate Suhas LY. All government, private educational institutes except medical paramedical and nursing including coaching institutes shall be barred from holding physical classes till April 17. However, all exams including practicals shall be held as per the schedule and are exempted from the curfew order. ....
