Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing by Healthy Davis Together has given Davis one of the lowest test-positivity rates in California, but those overseeing the unique city-campus partnership are alarmed by the decline in testing among community members.
That testing, along with the genotyping by the UC Davis Genome Center, has helped officials identify multiple variants of concern circulating in Davis. While the B.1.1.7 variant now represents 75 percent of all positive test results picked up through community and campus testing, other variants present ....

What a year this has been for all of us, including the blanketeers of Project Linus of Yolo County. We were not able to gather at the Davis Senior Center for most of the year and so we had to revise our way of getting blankets to the various groups we support.
The final blanket count is in for 2020. We are happy to report that our chapter had 10 blanket drop off days from April through November and distributed more than 1,660 handmade blankets to the Yolo Crisis Nursery, Empower Yolo, CommuniCare Health Center-Davis, CommuniCare Behavior Health Services-West Sacramento, Family Hui-Davis, Yolo County Children’s Alliance, Fourth & Hope, Short Term Emergency Aid Committee, Woodland United Way, Progress Ranch, Woodland Police Department, Woodland Fire Department, Child Protective Services-Woodland and Woodland Joint Unified School District ....
