This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the state’s teaching service commission (TESCOM) and signed by the agency’s deputy director in charge of public affairs, Kayode Sutton. According to the statement, the new appointment follows an existing exit replacement initiative of the state. Punch Newspapers Sections Lagos State Teaching Service Commission has commenced the Year 2020 Online Virtual Teachers’ Pensioners Verification. A statement signed by Assistant Director, Public Affairs, TESCOM, Kayode Sutton, indicted that the exercise was aimed at giving those who were deleted from the payroll for non-appearance during the last verification an opportunity to be re-enlisted, get their arrears paid and to also delete the names of pensioners who might have passed on. Speaking on the year 2020 mode of verification, the Chairman, TESCOM, Mrs. Elizabeth Olabisi Ariyo, noted that the exercise was in tandem with the State’s Pensions Policy which provided for annual auditing of the pensioners’ list for the purpose of updating the payroll in the Old Pensions’ Scheme. ....
