MIDLAND, Texas The U.S. Senate has voted in favor of allowing federal control over methane emissions in the oil and gas industry. This was all done in the name of climate change.
What s crazy is the natural gas industry, the people that produce it, have dramatically changed climate because more people are switching to cleaner natural gas to burn and make electricity than coal and even oil fired power in some different places, so the industry is doing an incredible job reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Kirk Edwards, the former chairman for the Permian Basin Petroleum Association said. ....

MIDLAND, Texas Unemployment continues to be a problem in the state of Texas. In fact, the most recent unemployment numbers for March show the average rate across Texas to be at 6.9%. In Midland County and Ector County, it s even worse. Midland County sits at 7.7%, while Ector County sits at 11%.

According to NewsWest 9, the state is seeing a larger unemployment number than it did 2 years ago and Midland/Odessa are even above the state average in unemployment.
While the state average is 6.9%, Ector County is seeing 11% unemployment while Midland is checking in at 7.7%.
