In the wake of the violent Insurrection that happened Jan. 6th at our U.S. Capitol, many are asking, what’s the difference legally between civil disobedience and an insurrection?
It’s important to remember that the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution clearly states that, among other cherished rights that we all have, is the legal right to peacefully assemble.
Peaceful, many times is interpreted differently. And you may need to obtain permits from the appropriate government authority. But we all have the right to peacefully protest any cause, no matter how controversial or distasteful it may be to others. ....

Fannie G. Krevsky wasn’t afraid to make her voice heard.
For decades, she was committed to helping her community, serving as a member of the Harrisburg School Board for 24 years. She was also the board’s first female president. She was an avid volunteer and served on the boards of the Harrisburg Library and Police Athletic League.
On Dec. 16, the 104-year-old Harrisburg legend died in her home.
“She was one in a million,” said Corky Goldstein, a friend who also served alongside her during her tenure with the school board. ....
