NA passes bill against corporal punishment of children
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a major development, National Assembly on Tuesday passed a bill against the corporal punishment of children.
A motion was also moved in the National Assembly to make it compulsory to teach Arabic to students of all educational institutions.
The motion was moved by National Assembly member Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali.
Later, a bill was sent to the Standing Committee to make it compulsory for the students of educational institutions to get education of Arabic language.

A Navy reservist from Delanson has been mobilized to help keep ships combat ready.
Chief Petty Officer Michael Foster has a role in the largest mobilization of reservists in the Naval Sea Systems Command’s history, according to Danna Eddy, a Navy spokeswoman. Foster, a Delanson native and 2001 Hornell High School graduate, is helping to maintain and repair ships, and submarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Maine.
He is one of 2,200 enlisted reserve sailors and 240 reserve officers available from more than 75 units across the country for Surge Maintenance. The   SurgeMain program mobilization is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Eddy. ....

BREAKING: Court Martial grants bail to Soldier detained for criticizing Buratai

A court martial sitting in Sokoto has granted bail to Martins Idakpini, a Lance Corporal who criticised Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army Staff.
Tope Akinyode, Idakpini s lawyer, made the disclosure on Thursday.
Court martial is a judicial process used in trying members of the armed forces accused of offences. 
Akinyode said, “Court martial grants bail to Lance Corporal Martins Idakpini. The court sitting in Sokoto made the order today after I argued the bail application. Idakpini was arrested for criticising army authorities. He s been detained for seven months without access to his family.”
Idakpini was arrested in June 2020 shortly after he made a viral video castigating Burutai for the failings of the Nigerian Army to combat and destroy Boko Haram. ....
