(Paul Buckowski/Times Union)PAUL BUCKOWSKI/Albany Times Union ALBANY - Manning Boulevard will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic on Wednesday to allow for work on the bridge between Colonie Street and Arbor Hill Elementary School, Albany police said. The work will begin at 8 a.m. on Manning between Lark Street and Arbor Drive. A detour will be in place to direct motorists. Pedestrians will be directed by construction crews on how to navigate the bridge during the maintenance work. The road and bridge will both be re-opened as soon as the project is complete, police said. ....

Kern County Sheriff s Office seizes $110k of Fentanyl pills Staff report The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation and Narcotics Operations Units seized roughly $110,000 worth of Fentanyl pills on Thursday after a two-week investigation. Two men were arrested and approximately 11,000 M-30 Fentanyl pills were seized, which have an estimated street value of $110,000. Jesus Antonio Garcia-Gonzalez and Noel Ayon-Aragon were arrested in the 6600 block of Colony Street in Bakersfield after the Fentanyl and a loaded handgun were located inside one of their vehicles. Garcia-Gonzalez,19, from Delano, California, was booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Central Receiving Facility jail for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, and conspiracy to commit a crime. ....
