Area counties report six new deaths from COVID-19

REGIONAL Six new deaths attributed to complications from COVID-19 were reported in area counties during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Pipestone County lost three more residents, including one aged 60-64, one aged 70-74 and one aged 80-84. Cottonwood County reported two additional deaths, including one aged 80-84 and one aged 90-94. Nobles County recorded one new death in an individual aged 85-89. No other information is available.
Statewide, 75 more deaths were recorded during the one-day reporting period. These included 27 individuals who resided in private residences, 45 individuals in long-term care facilities, and three individuals in group homes or behavioral health facilities. The cumulative death total from the novel coronavirus in Minnesota now stands at 4 ....

REGIONAL Nobles County and Jackson County each recorded five new cases of COVID-19, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Murray County added four new cases of the novel coronavirus, while Cottonwood and Rock counties each added two. Pipestone County had no new reported cases.
Another 1,714 more Minnesotans tested positive for the novel coronavirus during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m Monday. The state’s cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases stands at 401,011 (positive tests and antigen tests), with 376,354 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 30,783 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the novel coronavirus. ....

REGIONAL Cottonwood County recorded its 12th death from complications of COVID-19, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health. The individual was between the ages of 90 and 94. No other information is available.
Statewide, there were 22 deaths reported during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Sunday. Among them were 11 individuals who resided in private residences, 10 individuals in long-term care facilities, and one individual whose residency was unknown.
Meanwhile, another 1,998 more Minnesotans tested positive for the novel coronavirus during the one-day period. Locally, Cottonwood, Jackson and Nobles counties each reported six new cases; Rock County reported four; Pipestone County reported three and Murray County reported one new case. ....

REGIONAL Three more deaths of area residents caused by the novel coronavirus were reported in Sunday morning s daily update released by the Minnesota Department of Public Health.
A Cottonwood County individual between the ages of 85-89 died of COVID-19 during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Sunday, according to the information released Sunday morning. A Nobles County individual between the ages of 70-74 also died as a result of the coronavirus during the 24-hour period, as did a Jackson County person between the ages of 70-74. No other information is available. ....

REGIONAL An additional six Nobles County residents tested positive for COVID-19 during the 24-hour reporting period that ended at 4 p.m. Friday, according to information released Saturday morning by the Minnesota Department of Health.
Among neighboring counties, Cottonwood County reported seven new cases; Rock County, five; Jackson County, three; and Pipestone County, two. Murray County had no new cases reported Saturday morning.
Statewide, another 2,772 individuals tested positive for the novel coronavirus during the 24-hour period. The state’s cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases stands at 394,635 (positive tests and antigen tests), with 365,620 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 30,169 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the novel coronavirus. ....
