Gaston Police arrest second suspect in April homicide A second man has been arrested ina homicide last month. Gaston County Police arrested Donald Wheeling. He was booked in to Gaston County jail Friday morning after being on the run for weeks. Wheeling has been charged with first degree murder, fleeing and eluding arrest and possession of stolen property. He is being held without bond. Gaston County Police responded to a shooting around 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, at W.H. Kiser Road near Long Shoals Road, which is about two miles south of the Lincoln County line. Officers found Moore, a 36-year-old Bessemer City, suffering from a gunshot wound. Moore later died at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. ....
