Sioux Falls Thrive and Samaritans Feet to distribute 480 pairs of shoes

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –Sioux Falls Thrive has partnered with Samaritans Feet to distribute approximately 480 pairs of shoes this week to children in the Kid Link Riverside Initiative neighborhood. Each child will receive a “Hope Tote” drawstring book bag that contains a new pair of athletic shoes, socks, hygiene kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, comb, alcohol wipe, mask, and washcloth), and a “Hope Note” with an encouraging message submitted online from Samaritans Feet supporters.
On Friday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon, volunteers will help pack and prepare the shoes. Later that day, approximately 380 Hope Totes will be taken to Laura B. Anderson Elementary School and teachers will then distribute the shoes to students. ....

When your choices are limited by having little or no income, how and when you re going to feed yourself, or your family isn t an easy-to-answer question. Here in Sioux Falls, we have several places where hungry people
can find their next meal. What is needed, is people to donate, prepare, and help serve these meals. ....
