New Delhi: It is often hard for children to resist eating junk food. Consuming anything in excessive quantities is always harmful to health. Junk food is high in calories and contains unhealthy fats that can lead to obesity and high sugar levels.
As our kidneys are highly responsive to increased sugar and cholesterol levels, consuming junk food in excessive quantities can lead to obesity and increase the load on the kidneys. A study reveals that a diet mostly dependent on processed and junk food may trigger diabetes and cause damage to kidneys in the long run, said Dr Sundeep Guleria, Senior Consultant, Renal Transplant Surgeon, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. ....

The Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), a study published online by
Frontiers in Veterinary Science in the Veterinary Regenerative Medicine platform.
Chronic kidney disease is a condition affecting 37 million people in the US (as per Centers for Disease Control), in which the

New Delhi, March 13 (IANS) A latest research by Jamia Hamdard University here suggests that certain ayurvedic formulations can reduce pathologic damage of the kidneys. The study claims that the herbal medicines can help rejuvenate cells of an ailing kidney by cutting down reactive oxygen species (ROS) which is associated with pathological damage of the vital organ.
