WBBJ TV June 1, 2021 JACKSON, Tenn. Jackson police have confirmed the boyfriend of a missing Gibson County woman has been charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in her death. Police say Shawn Shaw has been charged with first-degree murder, especially aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault and tampering with evidence in the death of 19-year-old Patti Hathcock. Hathcock was reported missing on Friday, May 28 to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office after family members said they had not had contact with her since Thursday. Police say Hathcock’s vehicle was found in a park in Jackson Friday night, and evidence in her vehicle indicated an assault.

WBBJ TV May 3, 2021 GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office announced it will be offering a class discussing the use of deadly force. The goal of the class will be to review the policy for deadly force, as well as its related laws. The sheriff’s office says the class should be under two hours long. You will not need your firearm and you will be required to sign a “hold harmless,” according to the sheriff. The class is on Saturday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gibson County Correctional Complex. They say in the past, theyâve seen some bills with âFor Motion Picture Use Onlyâ, but some of the recent ones have had âReplicaâ or âPlay Moneyâ printed on them. Authorities, tell us in one case, they had a report of a $5 bill that had been bleached out and reprinted as a $50.
