Recently released Muncie felon arrested in wife s 2016 slaying
MUNCIE, Ind. A Muncie felon has been accused of killing his wife nearly five years ago.
Kenneth Wayne Herbert, 52, was being held without bond Friday in the Delaware County jail, preliminarily charged with murder.
Kimberley Jo Herbert was 48 when she died in June 2016. Authorities said her death was the result of multiple traumatic blunt force injuries.
According to an affidavit filed Thursday, when Kenneth Herbert was arrested by Delaware County sheriff s deputies:
• When Herbert delivered his wife to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital about 2:40 a.m. on June 20, 2016, she was unresponsive and in cardiac arrest, and had blood oozing out of (her) mouth. ....
