CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Three schools in Corpus Christi are teaming up to test out robots that local elementary students have been working on building for the past two months.
Garcia Elementary students were out at the natatorium Thursday testing out robots they built with the help of students at Cunningham Middle School at South Park and Moody High School.
The end goal for our students is just to get that hands on experience in the innovation academy, working with hands on, engineering, robotics, teamwork, just all of those types of things, said Kimberly Wilburn, 5th grade Teacher and Robotics and STEM Coordinator. ....

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â An elementary school head custodian is among Corpus Christi Independent School District s Above the Line Employees of the Month .
Three employees receive the honor each month, and the winners for March were celebrated Friday.
Several CCISD leaders visited the campuses of the three winners this afternoon, including Fannin Elementary School, where Sandra Flores has worked since 1998 and is currently the head custodian.
Flores was nominated for the award by her supervisor for going above and beyond her daily duties and constantly helping anyone in need among other things. ....

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â The Corpus Christi Independent School District honored some outstanding employees today.
Sandra Flores, the head custodian at Fannin Elementary School, was one of three employees to be named the Above the Line Employee of the Month.
This recognition is given to CCISD employees who go the extra mile.
Flores told us some of the most important duties she s performed on her job.
She was presented with a gift bag full of CCISD swag like a lunch box, cups, a hat, pencils and notepads. ....
