University plans to award up to $125,000 in funding to K-12 teachers throughout Missouri, Illinois and Kansas to help bring innovative classroom projects and initiatives to life West Plains, Mo – To show appreciation for area K-12 educators who have been forced to adapt to new styles of teaching throughout the pandemic, WGU Missouri has announced the return of its “Fund My Classroom” initiative, pledging up to $125,000 in grant money for K-12 teachers who need help funding their innovative classroom projects. Teachers can submit proposed projects online at wgu.edu/fundmyclassroom for the opportunity to receive full or partial funding. Applications are being accepted through April 18, and selected classroom projects will be announced during Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs May 3- 7. ....
McClain FFA officers visit Greenfield Elementary The McClain FFA Officer Team recently went over to the Greenfield Elementary School to demonstrate and complete a fun activity about soil profiles with the kids. They presented about what soil profiles are and what different materials make it up. After that the kids were encouraged to participate in the team’s Dirt N’ Worms activity which demonstrated a soil profile in a fun and tasty way. The officer team had a lot of fun and would like to thank the staff at Greenfield Elementary as well as Mr. Bruney for allowing us to come over and visit. ....

Julian Alexander Morinini. –Julian Alexander Morinini entered into eternal life on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, in Paso Robles, California. He and his wife Sharon have resided in their lovely neighborhood home in Paso Robles for the last 12 years. He was born in King City, California on August 14, 1937 to Aquilino and Mariann “Annie” Morinini. Julian grew up on the family ranch in Greenfield, California, and attended Greenfield Elementary School, and King City High School where he was very popular and head cheerleader for the Mustangs. Alongside his siblings, he assisted with ranch work and also worked part-time during his teens at Tiny’s Market in Greenfield. Following high school graduation, he enlisted and served in the Navy. After he served in the military, Julian returned to Tiny’s Market and enrolled in butchering school in Toledo, Ohio to expand his butchering skills. He later purchased Azcona’s Market in Greenfield and became known for his father’s version ....
