Image Source: IANS News Chennai, June 27 : Two decades after opening up the insurance sector in India on the promise of innovative products, industry officials complain on lack of data for domiciliary hospitalisation cover suggested by their sectoral regulator. The Indian insurance regulator IRDAI has allowed non-life insurers to offer homecare/domiciliary treatment or treatment at home as an add on cover afresh or to their existing policies. In a circular to all non-life insurers including standalone health insurers, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has said companies have to file their products with it, if home treatment is offered as an add-on cover. ....

MyDentalPlan raises Rs 5 crore in seed funding from Safe Planet Medicare ANI | Updated: Apr 20, 2021 15:17 IST New Delhi [India], April 20 (ANI): Bengaluru-based MyDentalPlan Healthcare said on Tuesday it has secured a seed funding of 700,000 dollars (about Rs five crore) from Safe Planet Medicare LLP to foray into the retail business. The IT-enabled platform aggregates service providers and dentists through a system of detailed audits and checks. The company has enrolled more than 3,500 verified dentists in 1,000-plus audited clinics in over 150 cities across the country. It now plans to expand its footprint to 5,000 more clinics across 250 cities. The strong support from our investors validates the important value our service brings to people. Boosted by acquisition, Vidal Health expects over 25% revenue growth this fiscal Boosted by acquisition, Vidal Health expects over 25% revenue growth this fiscal Mumbai, Apr 18: Bengaluru-based third-party insurance player Vidal Health is expecting over 25 per cent jump in revenue this fiscal at Rs 235 crore following the acquisition of the small rival Vipul Medcorp last month. The merger will make Vidal the largest TPA (third-party administration) in terms of the number of lives covered at 3.2 million (2.2 million of its own and 1 million acquired from Vipul) and the second largest in terms of revenue after Medi Assist in an addressable health insurance market of Rs 40,000 crore in premium size, which is served by as many as 22 TPAs now. ....
