CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Teachers and staff at King High School were treated to a special snack as LULAC Council #1, Christus Spohn Health Systems, and C-Cause have teamed up to deliver snacks to staff at different schools as a token of appreciation.
On Tuesday, everyone at King High School was given a fruit cup for the hard work they do every day.

ALICE, Texas — Jim Wells County held another COVID-19 vaccination clinic today in Alice.
The clinic was held at the Jim Wells County Fairgrounds this morning. It was organized by the Christus Spohn Health Systems and was coordinated by the county, the City of Alice, and staffed by several agencies and volunteers.
This was the fourth time the county has performed a vaccination clinic.
“This is something we re learning as we go, we re learning from other cities, and from ourselves,” said Patrick Thomas, emergency management coordinator for the City of Alice. “The more often we have these events the more we learn every time, so we try to improve it every time we do this. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Last month, Rosie Tijerina, a CHRISTUS Spohn Associate, received her second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – Shoreline.
The virus has had an unfortuante impact on her family.
Rosie lost her grandson in July to COVID. He lived in McAllen, Texas and was admitted to the hospital on June 21, 2020.
Less than two weeks later, Jubal Ortiz passed away in the early morning hours of July 3 – just hours after his family said their goodbyes via a Zoom meeting.
As you can imagine, Rosie and her family still grieve their loss. ....
