The first Iron Man race to come to Oklahoma starts this weekend after being postponed last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.An Oklahoma athlete told KOCO 5 that the past year has been a roller coaster having to train and then retrain after the postponement. When I first heard about it, I was super excited because it s so close, Kristi Perkins said. I don t have to worry about traveling. Perkins was excited and prepared for Oklahoma s first Iron Man race. A 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike (ride) and a marathon, which is 26.2 miles, she said.But when the race was postponed last year, Perkins felt like giving up. Struggled with a lot of burnout and teeter-totted with doing it then not doing it, she said.She felt like that because she was going to have to train all over again. It was really hard to get back in those dark, dark places, Perkins said.By dark places, she means bike riding and running in the dead of winter. LAGRANGE, Ga. (AP) An Alabama man and woman are charged with murder after a parking lot shootout at a Georgia strip club left the man’s brother dead and others injured.
Security guards were forcing 53-year-old Johnny Perkins to leave the Commotions Club in LaGrange around 12:30 a.m. Sunday when the Alexander City resident drew a handgun and began shooting at guards, police told local news outlets. Guards shot back and hit 47-year-old Steven Perkins, the brother of Johnny Perkins, who had also been involved in the fight.
At the same time, police said Johnny Perkins wife, Kristi Perkins, came outside and attacked a manager, 36-year-old Lynette Denault, by hitting her and attempting to bite her. ....

LAGRANGE, Ga. (AP) – An Alexander City couple are charged with murder after a parking lot shootout at a Georgia strip club that left the man’s brother dead and others injured.
Police say that guards were forcing 53-year-old Johnny Perkins to leave the Commotions Club in LaGrange early Sunday when Perkins drew a handgun and began shooting. His wife, Kristi Perkins attacked a manager, before also shooting a gun.
Hit were a guard, a club patron, a DJ, and Steven Perkins, Johnny Perkins’ brother. Steven Perkins, died later at a hospital. Both Johnny and Kristi Perkins are charged with felony murder. ....

LAGRANGE, Ga. (WTVM) - An Alexander City, Ala. husband and wife are being charged with felony murder of the man’s brother after starting a fight outside a LaGrange nightclub that led to his death.
Just before 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, officers were called to Commotions Club on New Franklin Rd. where multiple people had been shot.
Police’s investigation learned that an altercation began inside the club before spilling over into the parking lot. ....

LAGRANGE, Ga. A fight inside the Commotions Club ended with five people shot and the club evacuated.
It happened at the club on New Franklin Road just before 1 A.M. on Sunday. Police say it started when 53-year-old Alabama resident, Johnny Perkins, got into a fight with security inside the club.
When Perkins was escorted out of the building, he started shooting at club security, according to police. Security returned fire, hitting Johnny Perkins and his brother, Steven. ....
