Macomb Township approves ad campaign for water programming
Earlier this month, Macomb Township approved a $50,000 water ordinance and sprinkler programming advertising campaign. It is designed to avoid going over the peak water usage in the township.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP Macomb Township residents can soon expect to receive information on free sprinkler system programming, coming in the mail.
At the May 12 Board of Trustees meeting, Supervisor Frank Viviano brought forward an idea for the township to have a $50,000 water ordinance and sprinkler programming advertising campaign.
In the board meeting packet, Viviano writes, “this is a pilot program designed to avoid going over the peak water usage in the township.”

In what seems like a lifetime ago in pre-pandemic Macomb County, a special meeting was held in the middle of the month allowing 15 applicants to address the Macomb Township Board of Trustees regarding their qualifications for the vacant trustee seat. The seat was filled by Charlie Oliver.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP Macomb Township’s new Board of Trustees wasted no time in taking decisive action on an issue that’s repeatedly been addressed the last couple of years.
The Nov. 24 meeting marked the beginning of the new term, with four of the seven members new to the board.
From the supervisor’s office came a resolution to dissolve the position of human resources director and legal counsel; a request to initiate recruitment for human resources director; authorization to execute a request for proposal for legal counsel; and to hire an interim legal counsel.
