3 arrested after drugs, guns discovered in West Burlington home

WEST BURLINGTON Three West Burlington residents were arrested Thursday after a gun discharge prompted responding officers to search of a home in the 200 block of Ballard Street, where they found multiple stolen firearms.
West Burlington police officers were on patrol when they heard three gunshots in the area near Ballard Street at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday.
Officers arrived at 211 Ballard St., where they believed the shots had been fired, and found homeowners Jasmine L. Holloman, 31, who was standing outside near a Jeep Wrangler, and Gilbert Lee Ellis, 33, who was sitting in the Jeep s passenger seat.
According to court documents, Holloman initially told officers on the scene that her children had set off fireworks, but later said she was upset that Ellis had fired her Glock .45-caliber handgun into the air and that she had put the gun in her bedroom prior to officers arrival. ....

West Burlington police arrest three, seize stolen firearms and narcotics

According to a news release on Thursday, December 10th, at approximately 1038 PM
West Burlington Police were on routine patrol when they heard shots fired in the area of the 200-block of Ballard Street.
Responding officers located two individuals at the scene, three shell casings, and narcotics on the ground. Officers conducted a search warrant at 221 Ballard Street.
Inside the residence, officers located a wanted subject, multiple stolen firearms with ammunition, and narcotics.
West Burlington Police were assisted by the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office and the Burlington Police Department.
