A YOUNG mum battling an aggressive cancer can look forward to a Christmas treat this year after a 24-hour cycle challenge raised more than £1,500 for her and her family.
Chelsea Raybould was 30 weeks pregnant when diagnosed with a tumour in her chest, and gave birth to a tiny premature baby, Lacey Mae.
It was only after the baby was born that doctors could put Chelse, from Quarry Bank, onto a regime of intensive chemotherapy – so toxic that she was warned she could not touch the baby or her son, Finley, as he might burn them.
The story sparked a community fundraising scheme to ensure a holiday for the family when Chelsea is recovered, and as part fo the effort the staff of a Stourbridge Care home organised a big charity effort ....
