Family of Mississippi man found hanging from tree file lawsuit to reopen case, attorney says

Three years after a 21-year-old Black man was found hanging from a tree in Scott County, his family has taken legal action to reopen the case.
According to a lawsuit filed on Dec. 28 in the Hinds County Circuit Court, lawyers on behalf of the estate of Willie Jones Jr. are suing the defendants for not acting to prevent Jones death. 
Jones, 21, was found hanging from a tree in front of girlfriend Alexis Rankin s home in Scott County the night of Feb. 8, 2018. ....
