The Valley City Saints participated in the Jack Brown Invitational this past weekend in Jamestown and finished in 4th place with a 1-2 record. The Saints split their pool play games on Sunday night with the Saints defeating East Grand Forks in game one 7-6 in extra innings but would lose the nightcap to the Jamestown Elks 4-1. The Saints then lost the 3rd place game to Tolna on Monday afternoon 9-4.
Valley City 7, East Grand Forks 6 (8 innings)
The Saints improved to 3-0 on the season in the first game Sunday evening with a thrilling 7-6 extra-inning victory over the East Grand Forks Mass. The Saints trailed 6-2 heading into their last at-bat before racking up four 7th inning runs to tie the game and force extras. Then Grady Karges, who came in as a pinch-runner in the 7th came through in his very first Saints at-bat with a walk-off bloop single in the bottom of the 8th.

Tesla customers who were charged twice for a new car were refunded the extra money a week later, CNBC reported.
Tesla offered the customers $200 in credit to spend at the company s online store.
The buyers were left with bills of up to $142,000, and were charged for overdraft fees.
Tesla has refunded customers who were double-charged for new electric cars in mid-March, and has offered them $200 in credit at its online store, six people told CNBC on Wednesday.
Tesla refunded the extra money about a week after the customers told CNBC that Tesla had charged them twice without authorization and left them with bills of up to $142,000.
Tesla has finally started refunding those customers that it charged twice for new vehicle purchases.
In late March it was revealed that Tesla had introduced automated clearing house payments and almost immediately, some customers reported being double-billed for their purchases. One such customer, Tom Slattery, revealed that he had been charged twice for his Model Y to the tune of $106,000.
A number of other Tesla buyers reached out to
CNBC and revealed that they too had been charged twice. A representative from one Tesla store claimed that hundreds of customers had been double-charged for new vehicle purchases and yet, the electric car manufacturer was slow to reach out to customers and initially failed to provide refunds.
