A FORMER apprentice has risen through the ranks to become plant manager at Tarmac’s Dunbar cement plant.
Chris Bradbury, who previously worked at Tarmac’s Tunstead plant in Derbyshire, began working in the industry as an apprentice in 1994 and has held many roles at plants in the UK, Nigeria and the Philippines.
The 45-year-old is now at the helm of Scotland’s only cement manufacturing site, which employs 140 people and plays an important role in the supply of cement to the construction industry across Scotland.
Mr Bradbury, who lives in Dunbar, said: “I am looking forward to leading the team here at Dunbar and continuing to improve how the plant delivers for its customers, employees and the local community. ....
