ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES & OTHER CONGREGATE FACILITIES
The vaccination of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and congregate living facilities are being coordinated by pharmacies through a federal contract. However, in an effort to assist in vaccinating these vulnerable populations sooner, the Washington County Health Department is working to vaccinate certain local congregate living facilities. Facilities will be contacted by the health department on how staff and residents can schedule their appointments.

Those who are 75 years and older can schedule an appointment with Meritus Health. Information to register for an appointment can be found below.

NEW PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY TO LIMIT GATHERINGS TO 10 OR LESS. The Maryland Department of Health issued a public health advisory warning Marylanders against all non-essential activities and holiday gatherings with people outside one’s immediate household. Under this advisory, all Marylanders should refrain from attending public and private gatherings of more than 10 people in one location and should practice physical distancing to the maximum extent possible. Little League® International Restructures Operations Department to Strategically Support Volunteers and Communities

In November 2020, the Little League
® International Board of Directors began implementing a plan to evaluate and strengthen the organizational structure of Little League International, with the appointment of Patrick W. Wilson as Chief Operating Officer. To continue these efforts, a new operational and regional leadership alignment, focused on supporting local Little League programs, has been established.
Dan Velte has been elevated to Senior Operations Executive, overseeing the Little League International and Regional operations, along with a series of additional changes to provide structure and support to the United States regional offices and district operations.
To advance Little League’s strategic and league development initiatives, Nina Johnson-Pitt has been elevated to the newly created position of Senior Strategy Executive. Ms. Johnson-Pitt will work across all departments leading the long-term strategic planning ....
