Buzdar opens ‘Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par’ Top Story June 1, 2021 LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated the “Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par” [Services at your doorsteps] programme and launched the Khidmat App at his office, on Monday. Additional chief secretary (ACS), Lahore commissioner and the secretary Local Bodies Department apprised the CM of salient features of the programme. Addressing the ceremony, the chief minister said the programme would improve the service delivery mechanism, along with provision of facilities at grassroots level. It was unique governance modal to benefit people, he added. Giving details, the chief minister said the programme would continue for three weeks initially, during which streets, bazaars and localities would be cleaned and solid waste would be removed from roads. Similarly, banners and wall-chalking would be removed; he said and added that dysfunctional streetlights would also be repaired. Special attention would be paid to improving drainage and water supply facilities in the second week, he said. Sewerage pipes would be cleaned and open manholes would be covered, he said. Along with it, the government buildings would also be cleaned and painted and beautification of parks, greenbelts, roundabouts and chowks would be carried out, he said and added that the basic health units (BHUs) and rural health centres (RHCs) would be cleaned as well. The chief minister announced involving civil society members, locals and tiger force to augment the exercise and disclosed that field activities would be monitored through an application.

National April 30, 2021 PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq inaugurated a special care unit for corona patients at the Al-Khidmat Hospital here on Thursday. The state-of-the-art healthcare unit has been set up in the wake of alarming increase in the number of corona patients and shortage of beds in the tertiary hospitals in the provincial metropolis. The 25-bed unit is fully equipped with latest facilities like ventilator, special patient monitoring unit, oxygen machines, well-maintained Intensive Care Unit and corona PCR laboratory. Also, a team of specialized doctors remain available round the clock to take special care of patients. After inaugurating the facility, the JI head visited every bed to inquire after the health of the admitted patients. He presented a bouquet to every patient.
Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par programme launched National April 20, 2021 MULTAN: On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Sadar Usman Buzdar, the ‘Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez Par’ programme launched in all districts of the province on Monday. The four-week programme was aimed at improving public service delivery. A campaign had been launched against graffiti and to eradicate stray dogs. The monitoring of prices, crackdown on illegal constructions and hoarders would also be a part of the campaign. All the departments would collect baseline data and geo-tag it and share it with the PITB. The Punjab Information Technology Board had developed an App in this regard. Field activities would be monitored through the App. In addition, through the App, citizens would also be able to give feedback on the activities of the departments. The performance of the departments would be reviewed on a weekly basis. Reward for better performance would be given followed by action against those for showing poor performance. Cleaning would also be started in Multan from next Saturday. Under the zero-waste campaign, the Waste Management Company would remove all the waste and debris from the city and carry out special cleaning of highways. The company would bring all the machinery to the field and repair the dysfunctional waste containers. In addition, a special control room would be set up for receiving citizens’ complaints about cleanliness.
IGP opens Khidmat Centre at Lower Dir National April 11, 2021 PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr Sanaullah Abbasi Saturday visited district Dir Lower and appreciated performance of Dispute Resolution Councils (DRCs) to resolve disputes in a amicable way. Upon arrival, he was received by Regional Police Officer Malakand, Abdul Ghafoor Afridi, District Police Officer, Liaqat Ali Malik and other high ranking police officials. A smart contingent of police presented guard of honor. The IGP laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered fateha. He also also planted a tree in the police lines. The IGP visited Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) and met with its members.
Islamabad: The two-day annual meeting of the General Council of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP) was held here. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Khalid Mahmood while the Central President of the foundation Muhammad Abdul Shakoor presided over the meeting. Other officials were also present. The AKFP president said that Al-Khidmat Foundation achieved its goals through excellent planning. He further said that the nations are reviewing the existing policies and formulating a plan of action for the future. He said that AKF is active for the suffering humanity irrespective of race, color and religion. Al-Khidmat has become a prominent name in the service of the people across the country and is serving the deserving and needy people taking care of their self-esteem.
Islamabad February 28, 2021 Rawalpindi: The Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP) and Punjab Baitul Maal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to hold social welfare activities in the province. Punjab Baitul Maal Chairman Malik Azam and Senior Vice President Syed Ehsanullah Waqas signed the MoU at a ceremony that was held at the Al-Khidmat Complex here. Punjab Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Yawar Abbas Bokhari, Secretary General AKFP Khobaib Bilal, and General Manager Programmes Hammad Akhtar were also present on the occasion. As per MoU, the two organizations will join hands to work for the welfare of widows, the disabled, women, and the poor segment of the society. In this connection, the AKFP and Punjab Baitul Maal will also distribute sewing machines among deserving women.
