Portion of the Virginia Capital Trail to close in May, VDOT says

A portion of the Virginia Capital Trail will be closed for two to three weeks, starting as early as May 10, the Virginia Department of Transportation said in a news release this week.
The 52-mile bicycle and pedestrian trail connects Virginia’s past and present state capitals of Jamestown, Williamsburg and Richmond along Scenic Route 5.
The wooden bridge near Jamestown High School between Eagle Way and the Jamestown leg of the Virginia Capital Trail will have new bridge planks installed with an epoxy coating that will provide additional friction for safety of pedestrians and cyclists. ....
