2 charged with stealing car from Kroger parking lot with 2-year-old inside

The Louisville Metro Police Department arrested two people they say stole a car with a young child inside.According to arrest records, police were dispatched to Kroger located at Greenwood Avenue. Once officers arrived, they located a woman who said her vehicle was stolen with her 2-year-old inside.Shortly after, officers found the woman s vehicle abandoned in a parking lot at the intersection of Lower Hunters Trace and Hess Lane.Police identified the first suspect as Penny Alexander, 45. She was identified as a suspect by the victim. When confronted at the scene, Alexander said she didn t who actually stole the car, but said she was able to provide a description. She was transported to LMPD s 3rd Division.LMPD K-9 ....
