Nonuniform Late Pleistocene glacier fluctuations in tropical Eastern Africa

Top row (excluding High Atlas) shows the hypsography of the three highest mountains in the Ethiopian Highlands and bottom row shows the hypsography of four East African mountains. Note that the total surface area of the Bale Mountains above 3000 m is more than twice as large as that of most of the other peaks.
The varying hypsography of the mountains has implications for present and past glaciations on the continent. Under present climatic conditions, the ELA is located far above the maximum elevation of most of the African mountains. Glaciers can therefore only persist in the summit areas of the three highest peaks of the East African Mountains. However, once the ELA decreases below 4000 to 4500 m as during the last glaciation ( ....

Whenever I approach a piece of music, I tend to search for the
cantabile of a musical phrase, find the vocal expressiveness of a melodic line, explore new colours and make a musical intention or an emotion palpable.
As Anner Bylsma once said, the cellist must become a master of fencing with their bow. The bow is our main ally. Without it, it’s difficult to talk about the cantabile, the art of connecting one note to another, of joining one sound to the next. Its action is dependent on the right arm’s balance: having fluidity of movement in space, a good amount of weight transferred from the back to the upperarm, forearm, and hand, and good flexibility and tone of the joints. You have to constantly adjust yourself, and find a subtlety of balance between speed and weight, articulation and legato, and song and speech. ....

Ghanaian Business associations have confirmed receipt of the government of Ghana stimulus package meant to cushion small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) from the impact of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
They committed to ensure that the beneficiary members used the funds to invest in their operations in line with government’s agenda of supporting businesses affected by the pandemic.
The associations, Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), Association of Small-Scale Industries (ASSI), Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association, Creative Arts Agency (CAA), and Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, sponsored their members to benefit from the stimulus package. ....
