Two New Mega Vaccination Centres Open in Greece

ATHENS Two new mega vaccination centres - one in Elliniko and one in Peristeri - are opening on Thursday, April 1.
President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, who visited the Elliniko vaccination centre on Wednesday, said that vaccination is the only solution available so that all can return to normalcy.
Sakellaropoulou was given a tour of the centre, which is opening along with another 23 such centers. She was welcomed by Deputy Civil Protection Minister, the chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the secretary general for primary healthcare and the Mayor of Elliniko-Argyroupoli.
The collaboration of the Armed Forces and the Citizen Protection Ministry has given this impressive achievement, the president said during the tour. The pandemic continues, and vaccinations are at this point the only solution that we all have in order to return to normalcy. It s very ....

ATHENS - After Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and major opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras were among the first in Greece to receive the first COVID-19 vaccines, another 43 ministers and officials were given priority over the elderly and those most susceptible to perish.

Greece to Receive First 9,000 Coronavirus Vaccines on December 26

ΑΤΗΕΝS The coronavirus vaccines will be stored in five safe locations, while strict safety and security protocols will be kept during their distribution, said Health Ministry Secretary General for Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous, at the live briefing on the government s vaccination program on Monday.
Greece will receive the first dosages of the coronavirus vaccine on the same date as the rest of the countries in the European Union, on December 26, said the ministry official, totaling 9,750 vaccines. On the next day, December 27, the country s first inoculations will take place at five hospitals in Attica: Evangelismos, Sotiria, Attikon, Asklipieion and Thriasio. ....
