Taylor Speedway racing towards start of 2021 season

“I don’t know if it makes you try harder, but when fans are in the stands cheering at the end of races, that means a lot to those racers,” says Hildebrand.

“Our secretary came up in the flag stand for the main events, and she live-streamed them on Facebook. That’s basically what we did for the main events all season long. Everybody loved it because they couldn’t make it down to the track, but they got to watch it.” ....

High School Sports: Track: Tigers shine at Mountain Home meet (4/27/21)

Green Forest had a strong showing in the Bomber Invitational track and field meet on Friday, April 23.
The Tigers finished fourth in the boys team standings and won three events.
Sophomore Alonzo Rangel won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:57.95, less than six seconds of junior Paco Rangel, who finished third in 5:03.51. Alonzo Rangel also finished fourth in the 800-meter run.
Paco Rangel took first place in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:23.28 and the 4x800-meter relay team won that event with a time of 9:22.19. That relay team includes Matthew Vasquez, Daniel Schultz, Paco Rangel and Alonzo Rangel. ....
