Ocala Symphony Orchestra Chamber Winds: On Feb. 27, the Ocala Symphony Orchestra Chamber Winds will perform Beethoven’s Octet for winds in E-flat and Dvořák’s Serenade for Wind Instruments. Conducted by Chip Birkner, assistant director of bands at the University of Florida, the performance begins at 3 p.m. at the Reilly Arts Center, 500 NE Ninth St., Ocala. Southeastern Youth Fair: Marion County’s historic Southeastern Youth Fair has been running since 1941; this year’s event takes place Feb. 19-27 at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion, 2232 NE Jacksonville Road, Ocala. Horse Fever 20/20: Fourth public art event launches in Marion County

Fifteen majestic statues, all six-foot-tall milky white fiberglass horses, were the center of attention on Thursday as dozens of people scurried around a large warehouse in Ocala with excitement that the fourth Horse Fever event in 20 years was finally kicking off.
These unfinished naked horses, as event organizers called them, will become masterpieces and placed on display during most of March for the community to enjoy. Then, the owners will designate where they will go to pasture.
Many mask-wearing dignitaries, artists and patrons walked around a small section of Transformco s mammoth warehouse, once Ocala s Kmart Distribution Center, to chat about Horse Fever 20/20. ....
